Job Description

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for the role of Business Support officer to join HR department of a council 1 hour north of Melbourne's CBD. This role is part-time 0.6 and will be an initial 3 month contract. 

The role will see you tasked with providing support to the HR Services team through the establishment of effective and efficient administrative systems, procedures and processes along with assisting with implementing, maintaining and improving HR initiatives and projects.

  • Understanding of the relationship between Council policies and recruitment process eg. EEO, Harassment & Discrimination
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft officer suite 
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and organise the workload in order to achieve specific objective within timeframes set
  • Ability to establish, implement, review and continually improve systems and processes
  • Ability and confidence to gain cooperation from various internal and external stakeholders
  • Well – developed customer service skills providing empathy, support and understanding of internal and external customers
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR with relevant experience within a HR Administration role
  • Experience within Local or State Government
