Location: Western Sydney
12-month contract | $74.23 per hour + super
Public Sector People have partnered with a local council in Sydney who are looking for an experienced Website Content Lead to support the delivery of a new Council website.
This is a newly created role with an initial project focus, working closely with a third-party supplier to coordinate the design, development, and content management of a large-scale website. The role will use customer experience insights to ensure the website meets the needs of the community and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading website content planning and delivery
- Coordinating design, development, and content processes with external vendors
- Applying customer experience insights to inform website structure and content
- Managing content governance and best practice standards
- Diploma qualifications in Marketing and Communications or in a related field
- Solid experience in website administration, analysis, and strategy development
- Solid experience as a website administrator
- Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), content management systems (CMS), and server administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
- Understanding of web accessibility guidelines and best practices
- Ability to negotiate and identify possible outcomes with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of local government operations and/or local government database management
- Previous business partner experience with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships at supervisor and senior management level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with customer relationship management systems, TechnologyOne or another large ERP system.
