Urban Designer

Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for a skilled Urban Designer.  
  
Contract: 6 months
Competitive hourly rate: $55 - $65 p/h + Super
  
Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and contribute to precinct plans, master plans, and design frameworks that reflect the Council’s strategic planning objectives, Local Environmental Plans (LEPs), and Development Control Plans (DCPs).
• Assess development applications to ensure high-quality urban and architectural outcomes that enhance walkability, sustainability, accessibility, and place identity.
• Coordinate public consultations, design workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities to gather input and build consensus on urban projects.

Essential:

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design or a related design field
• Minimum 3+ years experience in an Urban Design position
