Public Sector People are partnering with an Australian government organisation to recruit for a Team Lead – Contributions Planning.
Contract: 8 months
Salary: Up to $160k + Super pro rata
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, review, and implementation of development contributions plans (e.g., Section 7.11 and 7.12 plans) to ensure infrastructure delivery aligns with Council’s strategic planning objectives and legislative requirements under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., strategic planning, finance, engineering) and external stakeholders (e.g., developers, state agencies) to align infrastructure priorities, negotiate planning agreements, and support integrated land use and infrastructure outcomes.
- Oversee the tracking, forecasting, and reporting of contributions revenue and expenditure. Ensure transparency, financial accountability, and compliance with relevant policies and audit requirements, supporting long-term infrastructure planning and delivery.
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning, Town Planning, Economic, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in Contributions Planning including Section 7.11/7.12 plans and VPAs.
- Strong working knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979
and Local Government Act 1993.
