A local government organisation in the South West is seeking a proactive Talent Acquisition Officer for a 3-month contract. This role provides the opportunity to support the recruitment lifecycle while delivering excellent experiences for candidates and hiring managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality administrative and functional support across permanent, contract, and agency recruitment activities
  • Manage candidate and hiring manager communications, ensuring a positive experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Monitor temporary employment services and agency performance to support operational efficiency
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and pre-employment standards
Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge and ability to implement effective talent acquisition strategies and temporary employment service methods, ensuring alignment with organisational financial and contract management requirements
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to independently plan, coordinate, problem-solve, and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving administrative processes and systems
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and support multiple stakeholders
  • Local council experience
