Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade works.
- Lead and support field staff, office staff, and subcontractors on project delivery.
- Manage multiple small projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and compliance.
- Develop and coordinate tenders, estimates, quotations, and construction documentation.
- Conduct condition assessments and site inspections, including asbestos sampling.
- Provide tenancy management and maintenance services for Government Employee Housing.
- Ensure compliance with safety management systems and WHS legislation.
- Conduct WHS site inspections and equipment checks.
- Promote a safe and inclusive workplace culture.
- Represent the department to clients, promoting services and identifying new business opportunities.
- Support team performance and development through proactive supervision.
Successful Candidate
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proven experience in supervising construction or maintenance projects.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
- High-level written communication and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with tender preparation and construction estimates.
- Strong understanding of WHS practices and safety documentation.
- Ability to follow processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage staff performance and conduct.
