Public Sector People are working with a government organisation in Gold Coast who are seeking a Senior Workplace Relations (ER/IR Specialist) on a 6 month contract with the opportunity to go direct with the client after.

Benefits:

Pay from $80 per hour + 12% super
Location: Gold Coast
Hybrid Working Arrangements - WFH 2/3 days
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: Initial 6 months + extension / opportunity to go perm

Candidates at the AO7 / Principal level may be considered

The role will be focusing on these areas:

Offer specialised advice to resolve diverse workplace issues, including complex disputes, union engagement, and appeals, providing expertise for external advocacy like the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission
Handle matters encompassing complex case management discipline, suspensions, ill-health retirement, diminished performance, conduct, and employment abandonment
Engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, internally and externally
Manage critical cases involving diminished performance, disciplinary actions, misconduct, and industrial grievances requiring structured solutions.
