Public Sector People are working with a government organisation in Brisbane, who are seeking an experienced Senior Work Health and Safety Advisor on an initial 6 month temp contract + extensions
The Role:
Role title: Senior Work, Health & Safety Advisor
Pay: From $74 per hour + super
Location: Hemmant / Nathan - Brisbane, QLD
Client: Dep of TMR – Bremur Project
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 6 months + Extension
Hours: 36.5hours per week Monday to Friday
The successful candidate will perform the following roles:
Shift Pattern:
For the first 4 weeks the shift will be day shift, nine-day fortnight, every second Friday off.
Following that, the shift will be late morning to night, 4 nights, every Friday off. Example schedule below. It may be a slightly later start time (11am) depending on project requirements.
There will be overtime available, up to 10-12 hours per week if there is a business requirement. Overtime is paid at time and half. Standard weekly hours are 36.25.

The successful candidate will perform the following roles:
- Assist with incident investigations for worker incidents and hazards reported through the incident management system
- Support the identification, planning and delivery of operational initiatives and WHS KPIs targeting improvements in local organisational capability in incident and injury prevention, incident investigations, front-line safety leadership, and effective on stie monitoring of high risk activities.
- Support and assist with the local implementation of operational safety content, through the delivery of informal onsite training / education, coordination of trials, consultation and monitoring of the effectiveness of onsite safety with workers and their elected health and safety representatives in each crew.

About you
- Available to interview and start ASAP!
- Systems experience GECKO, POWERBI, Integrum, Microsoft suite
- 5+ years in health and safety
- Strong stakeholder engagement
