The Senior Strategic Planner will play a key role in delivering Council’s Strategic Plan for a growing region. They will bring strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, along with an understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and related legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development, coordination and delivery of strategic planning policies, plans and projects aligned with Council’s long-term vision.
- Overseeing assessment and determination of complex and controversial planning proposals, providing expert advice and sound strategic judgement.
- Guiding and mentoring junior team members while ensuring effective workload management, legislative compliance and robust decision-making across the team.
Key Requirements
- 4 year Degree in Urban and Regional Planning OR Urbanism OR Urban Planning and Design OR
- 3 year Degree and Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate in Planning.
