We are seeking two experienced Senior Strategic Planners to join a dynamic and forward-thinking strategic planning team for a Local Council client in Greater Sydney. These fixed-term roles (2 years) are ideal for professionals with strong policy acumen who are looking for their next big challenge – with the added bonus of potential for transition into permanent full-time roles.

About You
You are a highly capable strategic planner with demonstrated experience in:
  • Policy development and implementation
  • Environmental planning instruments and planning proposal management
  • Shaping and guiding future development through best-practice planning
  • Coordinating consultants and engaging stakeholders across government and community
  • Preparing clear and persuasive reports and submissions in response to legislative and strategic change
You will also bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in town planning or a related field (recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient project management and negotiation capabilities
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in master planning, urban design or place-based strategies
  • Familiarity with the Greater Sydney Region’s planning context and strategic goals
  • Understanding of best practice community engagement in strategic planning processes
