Senior Risk Specialists
to join their Operational Risk team.
These roles are offered on
a six-month temporary contract
with strong potential for
extension
and potential opportunity to transition into a
permanent role.
Reporting to the Manager Operational Risk, this is a senior level role that plays a key part in supporting enterprise-wide risk management obligations, strengthening governance, assurance and risk informed decision making across the organisation. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced operational risk professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working within complex or regulated environments.
Key responsibilities - Execute second line operational risk activities to promote a strong risk culture across the organisation
- Lead the development and enhancement of governance frameworks, policies and risk management strategies
- Support delivery standards, service levels and risk reporting mechanisms Independently oversee complex operational risk portfolios across multiple business units
- Identify, monitor and report on key risk indicators
- Maintain and manage risk, control and assurance registers to ensure accuracy and integrity of data
- Prepare and contribute to operational risk reporting for Executive Leadership, Board and Risk Committees
- Support internal audit activities and enterprise wide risk visibility
- Assist with disaster recovery, incident response and business continuity planning
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders
About you - Proven experience in operational risk identification, assessment and management
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound judgement and accountability
- Experience working across complex or regulated organisations
Desirable or highly regarded
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Legal or a related discipline
- Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management or equivalent
- Postgraduate qualifications in risk, governance or compliance
- Membership of professional bodies such as CA, CPA, IIA, Governance Institute or ACI
- Experience within financial services, insurance, legal or other regulated environments
- Experience supporting internal audit programs and executive level reporting
