An opportunity is available for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing professional to support a Victorian Local Council with the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) Regulations 2025.
This contract role will play a key part in progressing the organisation’s psychosocial health program, providing both strategic direction and hands-on delivery across several priority initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of initiatives supporting the Psychological Health Regulations 2025
- Design and deliver education programs and training to build awareness and capability around psychosocial health across the organisation
- Develop supporting guidance materials, resources and collateral for staff and leaders
- Review, simplify and update the organisation’s WHS policies, procedures and documentation to ensure they are clear, accessible and written in plain English
- Partner closely with the Risk team to strengthen the psychosocial risk management framework
- Support the development of approaches to identify, capture and respond to control breakdowns and psychosocial hazards
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across People & Culture, Risk and operational teams
About You
- Demonstrated experience in Work Health & Safety, Organisational Development, or People & Culture within complex organisations
- Strong understanding of psychosocial risk management and workplace psychological health
- Experience developing and delivering training, education programs or organisational guidance
- Ability to review and translate complex policy or regulatory information into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with risk, HR and operational stakeholders
- A proactive self-starter who can quickly build relationships and drive outcomes in a contract environment
