Senior / Principal Strategic Planner

Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for highly skilled Senior Strategic Planner for a 6 months contract.  
  
Contract: 6 months  
Competitive hourly rate: $75 - $90 + Super depending on experience  
  
Responsibilities:  

• Implementation of the provisions of the EAPA Act, relevant other planning/environmental legislation, DCPs and general policies and codes 
• Preparation of Council reports, planning policies, major policy initiatives, correspondence and submissions on behalf of Council 
• Assessment of development applications and statutory planning policy formulation 

Essential: 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Urban/Town Planning or equivalent 
• Minimum 3+ years experience in a Strategic Planning position or equivalent
