Public Sector People are seeking an experienced
Senior Payroll Officer
to join a supportive team within a Not-for-Profit organisation.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident managing
high-volume, end-to-end payroll
and can hit the ground running.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, while providing quality advice and support to employees and managers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls
- Maintaining payroll and time & attendance systems and ensuring employee data is accurate and up to date
- Processing employee changes, increases, back pays and termination payments
- Reconciling and processing superannuation payments
- Managing end-of-year payroll processing and reconciliation
- Interpreting awards, agreements and employment contracts
- Ensuring payroll processes remain compliant with relevant tax and superannuation legislation
- Contributing to process improvement and maintaining strong payroll controls
About you
- 5+ years’ payroll experience
- Knowledge of SCHADS award and enterprise agreements.
- Proven experience managing high-volume, end-to-end payroll
- Experience with payroll and time & attendance systems
- Strong knowledge of payroll, tax and superannuation legislation
