Senior Payroll Officer6-month contract

Public Sector People are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a Southern Sydney Council on an initial 6-month contract.
This position is office based, hybrid arrangement will be considered for the right candidate -
3 days per week in office, 2 days
WFH.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing across a complex workforce
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and policies
- Managing payroll queries and providing expert advice to stakeholders
- Supporting process reviews and system improvements
- Maintaining accuracy across payroll, tax, superannuation, and reporting
Required Experience:
- Experience using iChris for payroll processing is essential
- Tertiary qualifications in related field and/or proven experience as a Senor Payroll Officer or similar.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, including FBT and income tax
- Experience processing payroll in complex organisational environments
- Ability to interpret and apply Awards and legislation
- Local Government experience is desirable
