Are you an experienced investigator with a strong grounding in governance, administrative law, and complex workplace matters?

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Investigation Officer to lead sensitive and complex investigations across governance, conduct, staffing and disciplinary matters within a progressive Council in Metropolitan Sydney.

5 month contract
ASAP Start
Up to $86ph + super

About the role:

Lead and manage complex investigations relating to Code of Conduct, misconduct, performance and governance matters
Apply risk-based investigation methodologies and administrative law principles
Gather, analyse and synthesise evidential material
Prepare detailed, impartial reports with clear findings and recommendations
Identify systemic issues, trends and organisational risks

About you:

Extensive experience conducting sensitive and complex investigations (preferably within local government or regulatory/public sector environments)
Strong understanding of administrative law and procedural fairness
Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Investigations, or related discipline
Extensive recent investigation experience
