This QLD state department is looking for a contractor to come in and support the effective management of Plant and Equipment (P&E) within Service Maintenance programs and their transition into Capital Delivery.
  
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and stakeholders, and who is driven to improve processes and support strong asset lifecycle outcomes.
  
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the transition of Plant and Equipment (P&E) from Service Maintenance into Capital Delivery Programs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with asset lifecycle requirements.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of P&E within Service Maintenance programs.
  • Manage, maintain and update data across corporate systems, ensuring integrity, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Generate operational and management reports, process project creation requests, and update program and governance documentation.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites and documentation, including preparing agendas, papers and materials for coordination and governance meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service outcomes.
  • Undertake other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
  
  
Successful Candidate
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including experience with formulas, Power Query, data validation and basic data analysis to support operational decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience preparing high-quality documentation, procedures, templates and operational materials.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues, interpret data and contribute to practical, effective solutions.
  • Process improvement mindset, with demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to build productive relationships and communicate clearly with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • An understanding of, or ability to quickly develop knowledge of, asset lifecycle management, service maintenance programs and public sector governance.
