We are looking for an experienced Senior Coordinator IT Service Management to join one of our local government clients on a contract basis through to August, with a strong chance of extension or a potential permanent role.

This is a senior, hands-on opportunity for an ITSM professional who enjoys leading service management practices, strengthening governance frameworks and driving continuous improvement across complex technology environments.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in coordinating and enhancing IT Service Management processes across the organisation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and technology teams to ensure IT services are aligned with organisational objectives, compliant with governance standards, and delivering reliable outcomes for a large and diverse community.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Implementing, managing and continuously improving ITSM processes in line with ITIL best practice
  • Coordinating IT governance and assurance activities across the organisation
  • Providing leadership and guidance on service transition, release management and operational support
  • Supporting strategic initiatives that improve service quality, resilience and customer outcomes
  • Working across infrastructure, cloud and enterprise technology environments
Do you have:

  • A strong background in IT Service Management within a complex organisation, ideally within the public sector.
  • Degree qualification in Information Systems Management, Information Technology or a related field
  • In-depth experience implementing and managing ITSM processes
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating IT governance and assurance activities
  • Current Class C driver’s licence
Desirable:
  • ITIL Intermediate certification (Release, Control & Validation, Service Transition or Operational Support & Analysis)
  • Project management certification
  • Understanding of Microsoft operating systems, routing and telecommunications, enterprise storage, data centre operations and cloud systems
  • Local government experience
