Noosa Council who are seeking a
People Services Officer(HR) on a temp position
until 29th February 2026 + extension. As the People Services Officer (HR) you will assist in the implementation of contemporary, innovative, and transparent recruitment processes and procedures, to ensure the recruitment of staff is managed smoothly and sensitively, with consideration to goal to have a diverse and inclusive workforce.
What you will be doing: - Act as the first point of contact for people services related enquiries across the organisation, providing professional, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented support to employees and leaders.
- Provide timely, accurate and consistent information on People and Culture policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently or escalated to specialist team members when required.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, with a focus on recruitment and onboarding, employment variations and other related documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with Council policy and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with the Remuneration and Benefits team to ensure alignment between people transactions and payroll processing, supporting accurate and timely outcomes.
About you: - A solid background in recruitment with experience in providing advice on workforce management policies and practices, coordinating recruitment, and analysis of workforce data
- Experience in working in a Human resources including advising, coaching, and facilitating.
- Great interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and experience in preparing and reviewing workforce business cases.
