Are you passionate about efficient document management and upholding legislative requirements? We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Records & Mail Support Officer to join our client, a leading public sector organisation in Western Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a team focused on excellence.
What You'll Do - Classify, archive, and sentence physical and electronic records in accordance with the State Records Act 1998 and GA39 guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and efficient management of incoming mail.
- Operate document/plan scanners, photocopiers, and archiving tools to maintain a streamlined document management system.
- Reproduce high-quality images from rolled film using micrographics equipment.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
What You'll Bring - A working knowledge of archives and records management systems, such as TRIM.
- Experience with relevant legislation: State Records Act 1998, Privacy Act, Copyright Act.
- A strong understanding of mail processing procedures.
- Proficiency with document/plan scanners, photocopiers, and archiving tools (micrographics equipment a plus).
- Sentencing experience.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
