Public Sector People are partnering with a Sydney Council to recruit a
Records Coordinator
for a
12 month contract.
The successful candidate will support a range of records management activities, with a focus on:
- Identifying retention, archival and disposal requirements
for physical records
- Conducting records appraisal and sentencing
in line with relevant legislation and disposal authorities
- Boxing, listing, registering, archiving and closing files within the Electronic Document Management (EDM) system
- Ensuring records are managed, maintained and disposed of in accordance with established processes and legislative requirements
- Supporting the organisation with accurate and effective records management practices
This role would suit someone with strong
Local Government records management experience
who enjoys working independently, analysing information and applying legislation and disposal authorities to practical records management requirements.
Do you have:
- Demonstrated experience in records appraisal and sentencing, preferably within Local Government
- Sound knowledge of State Records legislation and Disposal Authorities, particularly those applicable to Local Government
- Experience working with EDM systems and records management processes
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- The ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively to a project environment
