RCM Team Member (Road Construction & Maintenance)- Logan City Council | Marsden

Logan City Council is seeking motivated and reliable RCM Team Members to join the Road Construction and Maintenance Branch based in Marsden. This hands-on role involves a wide range of civil road construction and maintenance activities supporting the delivery of safe and functional public infrastructure across the Logan area.

  • Full-time casual/temporary engagement
  • Monday to Friday roster (occasional after-hours work may be required)

About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out road construction and maintenance activities including:
  • Road construction and maintenance labouring
  • Site setup and clean-up duties
  • Formwork, concreting (footpaths, kerb, gutter and pits)
  • Bitumen repairs using cold mix and emulsion
  • Pipe laying, backfilling and road restoration
  • Installing signage, fencing, signposts and traffic facilities
  • Working safely around plant, tools and equipment
  • Completing daily timesheets and reporting job progress
  • Following WHS procedures and Job Safety Analysis requirements
  • Supporting a positive and team-focused work environment
Essential Requirements
  • White Card (General Construction Induction – QLD 30215)
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Physically fit and capable of manual labour
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices and WHS compliance
Highly Regarded
  • MR or HR truck licence
  • Plant tickets (roller, bobcat, backhoe, etc.)
  • Experience in road construction and maintenance
  • Training in manual handling, load restraint or SWNELP
  • Experience using small plant and power tools
