Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation in NSW to recruit for a Rates Officer.
Position: Rates Officer
Contract: 6 months | Immediate start
Location: Coastal NSW
Hourly Pay Rate: $45 - $50 p/h + Super

Position: Rates Officer
Contract: 6 months | Immediate start

Hourly Pay Rate: $45 - $50 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounts receivable to ensure all accounts are raised and recovered in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
- Process daily banking and reconciliation of subsystems to the general ledger to ensure accuracy of generated transactions.
- Actively pursue outstanding debts and initiate debt recovery in accordance with Council’s policies liaising with Councils mercantile agent.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Education or Healthcare sectors
- Strong understanding of debt recovery processes and related administration
- Comfortable working in sensitive environments with a customer-first approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
