About the role:
 
 
As a Project Support Officer supporting the Economic Development department, you will assist in planning and executing initiatives that support local economic growth and priority industries. You will contribute administrative support to a team focused on growing the local region by identifying and responding to industry needs, and providing support for new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Support the planning and implementation of initiatives aimed at fostering local economic growth and strengthening key industries based on identified needs.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities that promote industry progress and enable businesses to drive regional development.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, government agencies, and industry organisations.
  • Offer comprehensive administrative assistance and marketing, including coordinating events such as workshops, seminars, and briefings for key stakeholders.
  • Manage economic development records, databases, and assist with various administrative and financial management duties.
About You:  
  • Previous Government experience in Local, State or Federal Government desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Marketing and/or Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant experience
  • Experience in Event Management or Marketing Software highly beneficial (e.g. Swift Digital, Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Mail Chimp etc)
  • CRM Experience highly beneficial 
  • Drivers License and own car preferrable
  • Ability to quickly and accurately navigate multiple systems
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
