Project Manager - NBN and Telco

About the role: 
The Project Manager - NBN & Telco at Council holds a pivotal position within the Property department, responsible for overseeing a range of projects and contracts related to site infrastructure delivery by telco. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Knowledge of Schedule 3 of the Telecommunication Act 1997 (Com) in respect to the use of the community land for access and installation of telecommunication facilities with respect to the statutory requirement of the LG Act 1993, particularly sections 46, 47 and 55;
• Understanding of Transport and Infrastructure SEPP and planning guideline for telecommunication facilities;
• Ability to negotiate with telecommunication carriers’ leasing representative.
• Telecommunication lease negotiation on behalf of Council with telco carrier
• Telecommunication lease administration
• Project management skills
• Internal project management (liaise with Council internal department) to facilitate new site delivery( site infrastructure deliver by telco carrier, i.e. Telstra, Optus and TPG Vodafone)
• Community consultation
• Carry out functions under Local Government Act (lease and license of Council land)

The role will suit an experienced project manger / project consultant who specializes in telecommunication area.
