About the role

Are you an experienced Project Manager who has successfully coordinated complex government inquiries, submissions, or high-profile regulatory responses? This contract would be ideal for someone with a strong public sector background who can hit the ground running and effectively manage cross-agency engagement, reporting, and strategic delivery in a time-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end project coordination, reporting, and delivery in line with the departments methodologies
Engage internal and external stakeholders to gather data, manage deliverables, and communicate progress
Draft, manage, and submit reports and formal responses for executive and Commission-level review
Ensure quality documentation, risk management, and governance alignment across the project lifecycle
Coordinate steering committees and project meetings, track progress, and flag issues proactively

Essential requirements

Demonstrated success in coordinating formal inquiries, audits, or regulatory submissions
Strong stakeholder engagement, including at executive and inter-agency levels
Excellent time and task management across competing priorities
Previous experience in the Queensland Government or similar public sector settings
Knowledge of construction industry regulation is highly desirable
