Project Delivery Coordinators
to join Council's newly established Project Delivery Team within the Program Management Office.
Reporting to the
Coordinator Major Project Delivery, these newly created positions play a critical role in delivering Council's annual and long-term capital works program across a diverse range of infrastructure assets. From community facilities and buildings to roads, stormwater, water and sewer infrastructure, you'll coordinate projects from concept through to completion while working closely with asset owners, contractors and stakeholders across the organisation.
The Role This is far more than a traditional project management position.
You'll work across a varied portfolio of infrastructure projects, coordinating planning, design, procurement, construction and project delivery while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Council's strategic asset management plans. The role also includes contract administration, stakeholder engagement, project reporting, procurement coordination and project close-out, including asset capitalisation.
Key responsibilities include: - Coordinating the delivery of capital works projects across multiple infrastructure portfolios
- Managing project planning, design, procurement and contract administration
- Preparing project programs, monitoring milestones and reporting on project performance
- Coordinating consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Supporting business cases, project feasibility assessments and grant-funded initiatives
- Monitoring project budgets, financial performance and procurement activities
- Managing project handover, completion and asset capitalisation
- Building strong relationships across Council, contractors, consultants and the community.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing Program Management Office where you'll work across a diverse project portfolio while helping improve the way capital projects are planned and delivered across the organisation.
About You You are an experienced project professional with a background in civil infrastructure, engineering, construction or capital project delivery.
You enjoy working across a variety of projects, have strong organisational skills and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Experience coordinating civil or infrastructure capital projects
- Strong contract administration and procurement experience
- Experience delivering projects within structured governance frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong project planning, reporting and financial management capability
- The ability to coordinate consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Sound knowledge of civil infrastructure construction and contract management
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
Experience within local government or state government will be highly regarded; however, Council is equally interested in speaking with candidates from consulting engineering, civil construction, utilities, mining and infrastructure organisations who can bring strong project delivery capability and a collaborative approach.
