The department are looking for someone to come in and support the delivery of initiatives across the School Facilities Operations Advisor (SFOA) stream. This role plays a critical part in investigating, planning, and coordinating projects that enhance school facilities operations across Queensland.
Working closely with SFOAs, senior management, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, the Project Coordinator will support process improvements, ensure effective project delivery, and contribute to continuous improvement across frontline school facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities - Investigate and analyse operational requirements and identify project opportunities across the SFOA stream.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and realistic timelines.
- Review, support, and contribute to the development and implementation of improved processes and procedures within the SFOA team and related operational areas.
- Collaborate closely with SFOAs, senior leaders, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication, shared understanding, and successful outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk registers, and progress reports.
- Assist in stakeholder engagement and communication to promote cooperation and alignment across teams.
- Identify risks and issues, escalate where appropriate, and propose practical, solution-focused responses.
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of project and operational practices.
Key Selection Criteria - Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project management, ideally within a public sector or education environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience supporting or driving process improvement and change initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex information and make practical recommendations.
- Proficiency in project management tools, reporting, and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience - Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in project management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience working within education or government operations is highly desirable.
- Experience using Microsoft Business Systems and project applications is advantageous.

Additional Requirements - Interstate travel is a requirement of this role.
