This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major transport infrastructure program that will support the safe, efficient and sustainable movement of people and freight across the South Coast Region.
Working closely with the Project Manager and a broad range of technical, government and external stakeholders, you will provide high-quality project coordination and support across project development, approvals, planning, governance and delivery activities.
A key focus of the role will be supporting EPBC approval activities, coordinating project inputs and ensuring project actions, risks, reporting and documentation are effectively managed.
About the Role - Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of EPBC approval activities associated with the Coomera Connector Stage 2 project.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of project management plans, schedules, risk registers, action registers and reporting documentation.
- Coordinating inputs from technical advisors, consultants, contractors and government stakeholders.
- Monitoring project progress and contributing to reports, briefs, correspondence and presentations for management and governance forums.
- Facilitating project meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, including preparing agendas, minutes and action registers.
- Identifying emerging project risks and issues and supporting the development of appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Providing high-quality project support and advice to the Project Manager to help achieve project outcomes within approved timeframes and budgets.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining accurate project records in accordance with departmental requirements.
Successful candidate
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, project management or project support within infrastructure, construction or engineering environments.
- Relevant qualifications in project management, civil engineering, environmental science, planning, construction management or a related discipline.
- A current Class C driver's license.
- Well-developed communication, stakeholder engagement and organizational skills.
- The ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage competing priorities and work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality project documentation and reporting.
Desirable Experience - Experience working on major transport or infrastructure projects across both project development and delivery phases.
- Experience coordinating environmental approvals, stakeholder engagement and consultant management.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) approval process.
- Experience working within government project environments, governance frameworks and assurance processes.
