Public Sector People are working with a local government organisation who are seeking a Project Coordinator to join them within Corporate Services.
We are looking for a skilled
Project Coordinator – Corporate Services
to support and drive internal audit functions, governance initiatives, and compliance activities across our organisation.
Location: Sydney
Hours: 21 hours p/w
Contract length: 3-6 months
Rate: $45 - $50ph + super
Start date: ASAP
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on coordination, administration, and supporting strategic governance initiatives. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of their
Internal Audit Program, managing associated projects, contracts, and reporting. You’ll work closely with the Governance & Risk, Executive, and Leadership teams, ensuring audit outcomes and management actions are followed through and that good governance is embedded into their processes.
About you:
- Strong experience in project coordination or governance support roles.
- Knowledge of internal audit processes, compliance, and risk frameworks.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of governance, risk, and compliance
principles.
Highly desirable:
- Experience supporting internal audit functions, particularly within local government or the public sector.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Local Government Act 1993.
