We are looking for a
Procurement Support Officer
to join our client’s high-performing Procurement team within a dynamic Local Government organisation. This role offers the chance to contribute to a team that values transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement in their procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities: - Support end-to-end procurement and tender processes, including preparing RFQs, RFTs, and evaluation templates, publishing, evaluations, and contract award.
- Coordinate evaluation panels, compile scoring matrices and reports, and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Provide training, onboarding, and troubleshooting support for internal stakeholders using the Vendor Panel
system.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to clarify tender requirements, capture procurement needs, and support forward planning.
- Contribute to process improvements, performance reporting, and ensure compliance with procurement policies, legislation, and ethical standards.
About You: - 2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within Local Government, Public Sector, Healthcare, or Education.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of procurement compliance, tendering, and evaluation processes.
