The Manager Planning and Regulatory Services leads Council’s planning functions and provides governance oversight of associated regulatory services.
The role provides professional leadership in development assessment, strategic planning and policy, while ensuring regulatory and compliance
functions are integrated, legally robust, proportionate and aligned with Council’s corporate framework, policies and strategic objectives.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning, environmental planning or a related discipline, and/or extensive demonstrated experience in statutory and/or strategic planning within a local government or comparable regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated experience in statutory and strategic planning, including the assessment and management of development applications and/or the delivery of strategic planning functions, with the ability to apply planning controls, policies and instruments to achieve lawful, high-quality planning outcomes.
