We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a local government organisation in Sydney!
This is an initial 3-month contract, to start ASAP.
You will support the delivery of end-to-end payroll services, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, awards, agreements and organisational policies.
For this role, you must have iChris/Chris21 experience.
Key responsibilities include: - Processing and reconciling payroll accurately and efficiently
- Interpreting and applying industrial awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts and workplace policies
- Ensuring compliance with taxation, superannuation, workers compensation and other statutory obligations
- Maintaining payroll records, internal controls and system integrity
- Producing payroll and workforce reports from the HRIS as required.
About you:
- Chris21/iChris experience
- Previous experience using TRIM/Content Manager
- Extensive experience in payroll processing and award interpretation
- Sound knowledge of superannuation, taxation and workers compensation payment processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality customer service.
- Local government experience is highly desirable.
