Our client, a leading Local Council in Melbourne’s east, is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary contract through to December 2025, with potential for extension. Please note you must have
Chris21 or iChris experience.
In this role, you will: - Assist with the preparation, input, processing, and finalisation of fortnightly payroll data for electronic transmission.
- Support the preparation of new pay rates and production of back payments.
- Undertake monthly preparation, processing, reconciliation, and disbursement of employee payroll deductions.
- Provide accurate advice and assistance to employees and management on payroll matters.
To be successful in this role, you will bring: - Previous payroll experience in the healthcare, education, aged care, or government sectors.
- Mandatory knowledge of iChris or Chris21 payroll systems.
- A strong foundation in end-to-end payroll functions and attention to detail.
