We are looking for a part-time
Payroll Officer
to join our client, a progressive Local Government organisation based in Regional Victoria. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking flexibility, remote working, and meaningful work within the public sector.
Our client is committed to supporting their community and delivering high-quality services. You will play a key role in ensuring their employees are paid accurately and on time, while providing valuable payroll advice across the organisation.
This is a temporary 3–6 month contract, working 30 hours per week with the potential for fewer hours depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing in line with Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) conditions, payroll legislation, and superannuation requirements.
- Processing leave applications, deductions, salary packaging, back payments, overpayments, and salary amendments.
- Responding to payroll enquiries and providing timely advice to employees and managers.
- Working closely with the HR team to ensure accurate interpretation and application of the Enterprise Agreement.
About You:
- Previous experience in Payroll within Local Government, Not-for-Profit, Education, or Healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated ability to process end-to-end payroll independently.
- Civica Authority Payroll system experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of EBA conditions, superannuation, and relevant payroll legislation.
