Parking & Local Laws Liaison Officer

Pay Rate: $41.13 per hour + Super
Assignment: 8 June 2026 to 19 July 2026

Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking two Parking & Local Laws Liaison Officers to join the team on a temporary basis from 8 June 2026 to 19 July 2026.

Role 1:

Monday to Friday
38 hours per week

Role 2:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday
21 hours per week

In these field-based roles, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations and local laws while providing a professional and customer-focused service to the community.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct parking patrols and enforce local laws across the municipality
Issue infringements, notices to comply, and provide education to the public
Investigate complaints and respond to community enquiries
Attend court as required
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and enforcement activities
Participate in weekend and after-hours rosters

About You

Previous experience in parking enforcement, local laws, compliance, community safety, or a similar role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage challenging situations professionally
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Current Victorian Driver's Licence
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
