Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking
two
Parking & Local Laws Liaison Officers to join the team on a
temporary
basis from 8 June 2026 to 19 July 2026.
Role 1: - Monday to Friday
- 38 hours per week
Role 2: - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- 21 hours per week
In these field-based roles, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations and local laws while providing a professional and customer-focused service to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct parking patrols and enforce local laws across the municipality
- Issue infringements, notices to comply, and provide education to the public
- Investigate complaints and respond to community enquiries
- Attend court as required
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and enforcement activities
- Participate in weekend and after-hours rosters
About You
- Previous experience in parking enforcement, local laws, compliance, community safety, or a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage challenging situations professionally
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
