Public Sector People are working with a government organisation within Brisbane who are seeking an experience (Legal) Government Insurance & Risk Advisor on an (internal) 12 contract.
  
Summary:
This 12-month internal contract seeks a dedicated Legal/Law Officer to assist in matters involving child abuse. The role requires a sound understanding of legal processes and a sensitivity to the effects of vicarious trauma on professionals working in this space.
  
Ideal for legal professionals with experience in child protection or related fields, the position supports both the legal and wellbeing frameworks necessary for this challenging area of law.

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

  
Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and case support in matters relating to historical and institutional child abuse, ensuring adherence to legal and procedural obligations.
2. Apply trauma-informed practices to support staff and stakeholders affected by vicarious trauma, contributing to a safe and sustainable legal working environment.
3. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel and victim support services, to ensure the ethical and effective handling of sensitive legal issues.
