This State Government Department is seeking an experienced Supervisor (OO6/1 level) to support the delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade works across its building services portfolio.
  
This role will primarily focus on property inspections, contractor management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
  
Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality tender and quotation documentation, including accurate estimates, material lists, trade packages, and construction programs
  • Supervise and coordinate construction, maintenance, and upgrade works across multiple sites
  • Undertake property inspections and scoping activities, including identifying building issues and collecting samples where required
  • Manage and coordinate contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and timelines
  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, reports, and records
  • Apply procurement frameworks and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures
  • Conduct workplace health and safety (WHS) inspections, audits, and plant/equipment checks
  • Ensure all works include appropriate risk assessments and safe work method statements
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across staff and contractors
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and external contractors to support project delivery
  • Support business development activities by promoting services and identifying new opportunities
  
Successful Candidate
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising building, construction, or maintenance projects
  • Strong ability to manage contractors and coordinate multiple works simultaneously
  • Sound understanding of procurement processes and contract management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and build strong working relationships
  • High level of computer literacy and administrative capability
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
  
  
Mandatory Requirement
  • Current Driver’s License
