About the Role Reporting to the project team, you will provide supervisory services to support the planning and delivery of construction and maintenance projects through the effective coordination of office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities - Preparing tender and quotation documentation, including estimates, material take-offs, trade packages and construction programs
- Supervising construction, maintenance and upgrade works across multiple sites
- Undertaking property inspections, building assessments and project scoping activities
- Identifying building defects and collecting samples where required
- Managing subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, reports and records
- Applying procurement frameworks and contract management processes in accordance with departmental policies
- Conducting Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) inspections, audits and plant/equipment checks
- Ensuring risk assessments and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are completed for all works
- Promoting a strong safety culture across staff and contractors
- Liaising with clients, internal stakeholders and contractors to support successful project delivery
- Assisting with business development initiatives by promoting services and identifying future opportunities
To be successful, you will demonstrate: - Previous experience supervising building construction, maintenance or upgrade projects
- Thorough knowledge of building construction and maintenance legislation, regulations, principles, practices and contract procedures
- Strong contractor management and project coordination skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Sound understanding of procurement processes and contract administration
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong computer literacy and administrative capability
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment
Mandatory Requirements - Demonstrated knowledge of building construction and maintenance legislative and regulatory requirements, principles, practices and contract procedures
Highly Desirable - Trade qualification or trade background
- Current Construction Industry White Card (General Safety Induction Card)
- Current Queensland Driver License
- Strong computer skills
