We are looking for an experienced
Communications Officer
to join our client on a 3–6 month contract, with the opportunity for extension.
This is a great opportunity for a communications professional to work within a high profile local government environment and contribute to campaigns and communications that directly support the local community.
About the role
Working as part of the communications and marketing function, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging communications across a range of channels. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple projects, manage competing priorities and help deliver communications that connect with a diverse community.
Do you have - Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, digital or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated experience developing, delivering and evaluating marketing communications campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience using a range of marketing communications tools, including social media and email marketing
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
- The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders in a busy environment
- Local government experience is essential
