We are currently seeking a Marketing & Promotions Officer to support a Council’s Community Centres and Venues team in delivering engaging marketing campaigns and community activation initiatives.

This is an initial 4-month contract with potential to extend up to 7 months, working full-time on-site in the North West.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver marketing and promotional activities for Community Centres and Venues, including advertising, direct marketing, publicity, online campaigns and social media engagement.
  • Develop and manage marketing and advertising campaigns to increase awareness, participation and utilisation of Council facilities.
  • Create engaging digital and print marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Illustrator).
  • Manage and promote events through Eventbrite and other event management platforms.
  • Develop and deliver online marketing and social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Support engagement and activation initiatives aimed at growing and diversifying community centre users and venue hirers.
  • Promote facilities to community groups, service providers and stakeholders to maximise utilisation.
  • Assist with market research activities, including customer surveys, feedback and reporting.
About You
  • Qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, advertising campaign management and content creation.
  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Experience managing Eventbrite or similar event ticketing/registration platforms.
  • Proven experience delivering online marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse community groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience in local council

Requirements
  • Full-time on-site role (no hybrid work available)
  • $40+ super per hour
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle required
  • Ability to obtain a Police Check and Working With Children Check
