This QLD state department is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Plan Advisor to join their Maintenance Operations Team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective upkeep and management of school facilities across Queensland, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and collaboration.
    As a Maintenance Plan Advisor, you will provide expert advice and support to schools, regional centres, and internal stakeholders on maintenance planning, asset management, and facilities operations. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of educational environments across the state.        
Key Responsibilities   - Provide client-focused facilities services and advice to schools, regional offices, and the wider community.
  
 - Deliver high-level consultancy and guidance on facilities planning, investment, and asset management.
  
 - Coordinate and collaborate with regional facilities teams, Infrastructure Services Division, and external providers.
  
 - Manage and monitor capital works, maintenance, and facilities projects to ensure scope, budget, and quality compliance.
  
 - Prepare reports, ministerial responses, and briefing materials for senior officers.
  
 - Conduct operational audits and support continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
  
 - Assist with the professional development of regional staff in relevant areas.
  
 
       Successful candidate   - Strong knowledge of building maintenance processes and asset management systems.
  
 - Proven attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in planning and reporting.
  
 - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  
 - The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and business information systems.
  
 - A valid Blue Card and the ability to pass a criminal history check.
  
 - Prior experience in school or building maintenance will be highly regarded.
  
 
   Additional Information  
 - The role requires flexibility to travel, including week-on/week-off arrangements.
  
 - This position is based at the Brisbane Central Office.
