Public Sector People are partnering with a local council based in South West Sydney to recruit for a Landscape Architect to join their City Improvement team.

Position:  Landscape Architect - Place Experience
Contract: 12 months | 35 hours | Hybrid
Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $77.68 p/h + Super
  
Responsibilities: 

• Lead the design, development and delivery of small-scale place interventions, activations and placemaking initiatives across Council’s town centres.
• Shape and contribute to place-based strategies, policies and frameworks that guide improved place experience, activation and public realm enhancements;
• Facilitate and support business-led activations and local initiatives that increase visitation, dwell time and community connection within centres

  
Essential:

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant post graduate professional experience in landscape architecture, placemaking, project management or urban design
• Strong understanding of placemaking principles, urban design and place activation within activity centres
