Public Sector People are partnering with
a number of councils on the northside of Brisbane
to recruit a
MULTIPLE Labourers
to support the Asset Maintenance team based at Caboolture & Narangba Depot.
This is a
temporary labour hire
opportunity commencing
Monday 13 October 2025 through to end of the year + Extensions, with full-time hours Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm.
Key Responsibilities - Carry out a range of labouring, maintenance and construction duties across Council’s parks and open spaces.
• Operate small plant, tools and equipment safely in accordance with Council procedures and WHS requirements.
• Assist with the upkeep of parks, gardens, pathways and recreation areas to ensure a clean, safe and functional public environment.
• Undertake waste and debris removal, mowing, whipper snipping, mulching and irrigation maintenance as required.
• Safely load, transport and dispose of materials, adhering to environmental and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to deliver efficient service to the community.
• Complete daily pre-start checks, record timesheets and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
About You - Previous experience working in Construction, Tree, parks, open space or asset maintenance environments.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow direction from supervisors.
Mandatory Requirements: • Current
MR Driver’s Licence
(beneficial not essential).
•
Construction White Card
– obtained or used within the past two years.
• Ability to wear and maintain PPE, including safety boots, long pants, long sleeve hi-vis shirt, gloves, safety glasses and wide-brim hat.
