Information Asset Project Specialist
to deliver the foundational phase of a long-term transformation program aimed at elevating records management and digital service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build cross-departmental relationships to support the delivery of a suite of business information and records projects within the initial 6-month engagement.
- Define deliverables, outcomes, and sustainable business processes for:
- Information Asset Register (IAR):
Identify the location, value, and risk profile of all information across the organisation, and outline the pathway for structured management within the EDRMS. The IAR must address privacy and AI compliance.
- Digitisation Initiative:
Initiate a large-scale digital conversion of physical records (approx. 6000 Type 1 boxes), scoped and aligned with budget and procurement policies, with a long-term completion timeline of under 5 years.
- Destruction Process Reinstatement:
Transition classification from GA39 to GA28/FA450, and document procedures to support ongoing records disposal activity by business-as-usual staff.
- Develop clear and standardised operating procedures that can be handed over to permanent staff.
- Prepare and deliver a formal documentation and handover framework to enable the continuation of these initiatives under BAU.
About You:
- You are a subject matter expert
in records and information management, not just a project manager.
- You bring proven experience
delivering similar large-scale records, governance, or digitisation projects.
- You have the ability to define deliverables, forecast scope and timelines, and develop robust documentation to support ongoing delivery.
- You understand relevant regulations, including privacy and AI implications, and classification frameworks such as GA28/FA450.
- You work independently, manage your time effectively, and influence stakeholders to deliver outcomes in complex environments.
- Public sector or local government experience is highly regarded.
