HVAC Technician – Blacktown City Council | Rooty Hill

We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join Blacktown City Council based in Rooty Hill on a temporary labour hire assignment July 13, 2026 to January 31, 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing council work, working across commercial and public sector facilities.

Pay Rate: $89.58 – $96.44 per hour

About the Role:

Maintenance, servicing and repair of commercial HVAC systems
Fault finding and diagnostics across council facilities
Preventative and reactive maintenance work
Working within a public sector environment
Ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards
Supporting energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC operations

Essential Requirements:

MR Licence
Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent nationally recognised qualification)
Full Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
NSW Restricted Electrical Licence for Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or Full Electrical Licence)
Minimum 5 years post-trade HVAC experience
Experience working in commercial and public sector environments

Desirable:

NSW Gas Work Licence
Experience or training in energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable technologies
