Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Human Resources Project Support Officer.
Contract: 9 - 10 months| Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $55 - 65 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Provide support across various projects by carrying out research, analysis, reporting, implementation tasks and general coordination activities aligned with project plans and goals
- Assist in the smooth delivery of projects through organised administration and accurate documentation
- Deliver day‑to‑day administrative support to the HR leadership team, including the Manager Human Resources
- Contribute to maintaining project progress by ensuring timely updates, follow‑ups and support activities
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
- Confident communicator with the ability to work well with others
- Strong administrative capability and proficiency across Microsoft Office
- Previous experience supporting HR functions or working in an HR setting
- Able to manage competing priorities and organise workload effectively
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team
