Calling all HR and People & Culture professionals across Melbourne's West & North!Our clients are in local council and are seeking an experienced HR / People & Culture professional for short term contracts.

This is a great for someone who enjoys working across the employee lifecycle and providing practical, high-quality support to employees, leaders and the wider People & Culture team.

About the Role:

Working within a supportive People & Culture environment, you will provide operational HR support across a range of employee lifecycle activities, including:

Preparing employment contracts, variations, extensions and other employment documentation
Supporting onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
Providing responsive support to employees, managers and internal stakeholders
Working closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and Payroll
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
Supporting HR projects and process improvement initiatives
Ensuring HR processes are delivered accurately and in line with relevant policies and legislation

About You:

Previous experience in HR, People & Culture or a similar role
Experience within local government or the broader public sector highly regarded
Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and HR administration
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
