We are looking for a talented and motivated Graphic Designer to join our client, a local Council in Sydney, for a short term contract.
The Opportunity In this exciting contract role, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and impactful visual communication materials. You'll work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to develop designs that meet specific project needs and objectives.
What You'll Do: - Develop, design and create clear and strategically led digital and tangible assets to meet briefs.
- Develop creative toolkits, design templates, 3D digital graphics and animation.
- Be a brand champion for the organisation by reviewing, upholding and maintaining Council’s brand and style guide.
- Work across live digital marketing campaigns, brand guidelines, virtual and live events and broadcast.
- Liaise with a panel of external graphic designers, photographers and videographers for the creation of digital and print assets
- Manage and maintain Council's image and asset library
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively within the wider communications and marketing team
- Build strong and positive relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
- Shoot photo and video at Council events as required
- Create, develop and edit content for core digital channels, ensuring alignment and suitability for other channels including mobile, eDMs, and social media.
Do you have: - A relevant design qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Design, Diploma of Graphic Design).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar graphic design role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
- Local Government experience is preferred
