Public Sector People are looking for a Governance Lead to join a council in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is innovative, collaborative, and passionate about good governance in the public sector.

Initial 6 month contract | Potential for permanent role
ASAP Start
$68-72ph + super

As Governance Lead, you will:

Lead and support governance activities across Council.
Provide expert advice on governance policies, systems, and frameworks.
Coordinate ethical frameworks, including code of conduct and public interest disclosures.
Manage governance systems for Council and Committee meetings.

What you will bring:

Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
GIPA experience is essential.
Local, state or federal government experience is highly desirable.
Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in governance, public administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, local government legislation, and ethical standards.
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and delivering business improvements.
